Just include Muddy as a new assist character where he burrows underground and blasts up unexpectedly and I will be satisfied. Holy shit, how can something created by Shigeru Miyamoto never get ANY reference in the Smash series as of yet? I cant believe they haven't even included a trophy or sticker from this game yet. Its to bad that the Villager looks to have stolen the balloon fight gimmick so a pure character based off it seems unlikely (which also seems to have killed Tingle's chances of getting in anytime soon). I imagine a Balloon Fight stage being a moving stage based on the Balloon Trip mode with occasional stops where enemy balloonists appear and bounce around. Just like I imagine Mike being a stereotypical 80s kid, I imagine Alice having a personality of an overly excited, annoying child. I would much prefer Alex over the no-name Balloon Fighter character from Balloon Fight. While a lot of his moves would be somewhat similar to Ness, I really want Mike to get in and bring over a 1980s American kid stereotype personality to mix up the roster (and to raise popularity for him like Pit got in Brawl to the point of having a possible revival of the series).Īlice from Balloon Kid (GameBoy) and its updated GameBoy Color version, Balloon Fight GB Only other character I could see that would fit that slot really well would be Tin Star, and that game may be to obscure even for Smash. We already have had Japan exclusive characters in the form of Lucas and Roy, I think it would be interesting to see a character from a Nintendo game that never got released in Japan. Mike from StarTropics(NES) and StarTropics 2(NES) We have a decent number of knights and traditional western fantasy style character types, yet Nintendo's only true samurai type main hero remains forgotten. I am surprised this guy hasn't gotten into Smash yet, even as an assist trophy. Takamaru from Nazo no Murasame Jō (Famicom Disk Drive) I imagine Bubbles having no way to actually stop moving, the player just has to keep constant control and watch where they are moving and using sound waves to blast back characters that could grow in power based on how long Bubbles moves without being hit or something. I really hope the boxing ring we keep seeing in the new game is suppose to be Punch-Out related and just isn't the new design of Final Destination. This seems like a no-brainier for a newcomer, however I recall the interview explaining why traditional fighting game characters would not ever be included in Smash and it kind of has me worried as to how the staff views Mac and if they think of the Punch-Out series as a fighting series. I'm also not really sure if he would be considered a G&W or Mario series character, I guess he could just fill his own unique spot for obscure as hell arcade era/misc. Probably has a good chance of becoming an assist character, but his current move set is already stolen by Mr. Stanley from Greenhouse (Game&Watch) and Donkey Kong 3 (G&W and Arcade) I dont want an updated version of the character based off concept art, I want a fully pixelated character playable. Probably one of the only characters Nintendo could add that could out retro Mr. Sheriff from Sheriff (Arcade) (also known as Bandido) Once again, here are my shitty image quality hopes and desires for new series newcomers this time around, if at least one of these guys gets in I will be pretty satisfied. My dream for an Animal Crossing fighter (before Villager was added), was to have Tom Nook piloting a mech suit shaped like his head (that he bought with all the bells his various business ventures rake in) that was able to turn its arms into shovels, axes and butterfly nets and could toss various pieces of furniture, fire off Gyroids as missiles and could wield a couch as a weapon.
